Pilgrim at Tinker Creek – Annie Dillard

I’m not sure I know how to properly write a book review. I get lost in the nuance and the pacing and often am uncertain how to describe the text. Reading a book is an experience I have, not so much a plot or character or scene.

The problem is that I don’t know how to describe the experience.

Ironically, Annie Dillard’s Pilgrim at Tinker Creek is all about being aware of nuances in the world around us. It is a book about experiencing…

If you want fantastical creatures, explosions, mutants, superheros, magic, or any other such means of escape, don’t read Annie Dillard’s Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. But if you happen to have a spot in your heart, mind, and soul for noticing and experiencing the world in which we live and breathe, give this book a try.
