Psalm 2: Fight of Futility

Why must I be afraid of thee?
    Why must I ever cry?
Why is there wrath in your path?
Why does my fear not die?

Over the earth you laugh in mirth.
    Over all kings you sing.
Wars your strong son has ’ready won
    Victory do you bring.

Why do we fight your holy light?
Why do we rage in vain?
Why do we battle you who’s true?
Why must bent knee need pain?
